The FMPA was established to support members on a professional and personal level and in our 10 years of existence, this has never been more important than it is today. The Covid-19 outbreak has caused severe disruption to our industry with consequences for all sectors of the game, including medicine and performance staff. The potential for clubs to go into administration and/or adopt cost saving measures such as redundancy is very real and it is understandable that many of our members are concerned.

While we cannot affect such actions, we can put in place a response that supports our members as best as possible at this unprecedented time. For current non-members, we have reduced the 3 month mandatory membership to one month in order to enable access to our Legal Support and would encourage colleagues to take advantage of this measure. Our members have the best lawyers in place to support them should the worst happen and we are able to guide those in need through what is a trying process. We are also able to action our exit package on their behalf which looks to signpost members to a range of options we have in place to support them during what is often a difficult period.
