FMPA Membership has 3 membership levels and we want to make sure that our members have adequate cover for their role alongside our services and benefits.

Full Membership is available to medicine & performance practitioners currently employed in professional football within the UK.

Affiliate Membership suits medicine and performance practitioners who have been employed in professional football in the UK or those who offer health care services or consultancy to professional clubs. This level of membership includes automatic registration on the FMPA Register.

Associate Membership is for those who wish to pursue a career in professional football. This level is suitable for students and international practitioners.

All membership levels include:

Access to the very latest vacancies in professional football

Priority email notification when a new job is added to the FMPA website

Quarterly edition of the FMPA publication ‘football medicine & performance’

Free access to the BJSM.

Discounted rate at the annual FMPA Conference & Awards.

FULL MEMBERS also benefit from contract appraisal advice from industry lawyers, legal services, union support, exit package and the option to be included on the FMPA Register.

Affiliate Members have all the benefits of standard membership but are automatically included on the FMPA Register at no extra cost.

ASSOCIATE MEMBERS have all the standard benefits without legal services, contract appraisal or union support as they are not employed by a professional Club. However, on becoming successful at a securing a position at a professional football club, the FMPA will review your contract free of charge on upgrade to FULL MEMBERSHIP. This level is also suitable for International Practitioners.
