FMPA Launches seventh annual conference and awards
The 2020 FMPA Conference & Awards will take place on the 22 and 23 May (FA Cup Final) at the Radisson Blu East Midlands Hotel
The annual event brings together an impressive audience of medicine and performance practitioners and has become a must-attend event in the football calendar. The event offers practitioners an ideal environment to make new contacts, connect with colleagues and benefit from a well thought out educational programme designed for appeal to the multi-disciplinary team.
“THE MDT: Fighting for order amongst the chaos” is being led by Dr Russ Wrigley, Head of Academy Sports Science & Medicine at Blackburn Rovers FC.
Confirmed speakers include:

- Luke Jenkinson – Head of Sports Science & Academy Medicine, Derby County FC
- Mark Leather – Senior Lecturer in Sports Medicine & Therapy, University of Central Lancashire

- Matthew Portas – Lead Physical Performance – Education, The FA
- Frankie Hunter – Head of Academy Sports Science & Medicine, Hull City Tigers FC
- Professor Warren Gregson – Head of Sports Science, Qatar Football Association
- Thomas O’Malley – Head of Physiotherapy, Wigan Warriors Rugby FC
The 2020 FMPA Awards will take place on Friday 22 May 2020 at the conference venue recognising the contribution and achievements of our Members and their teams.
