“Change” of name ensures unanimity across football
The recent conference & awards event saw the launch of the “new” name for the association which will be now known as Football Medicine and Performance Association, FMPA. While this is only a minor change and our logo will easily remain identifiable, it was felt necessary to make the adjustment in order to emphasise that we are the representative body for all practitioners in the medicine and performance sector.
“The FMPA now states clearly the sector the FMPA represents. This is important not just for members but also for football administrators and commercial partners. This simple measure dispels any ambiguity about our focus and sets the FMPA firmly on course for future developments with this arena” Eamonn Salmon, FMPA CEO.
